SUPPORTING AND INVESTING IN LOCAL COMMUNITIES

Community engagement is a key value at Tamarack, as the support and services of local communities are essential to our continued success. We strive to connect in a variety of meaningful ways with various stakeholders, Indigenous groups, and communities where we operate. We believe in establishing trusted and mutually beneficial relationships to ensure input provided by stakeholders is heard, understood and acknowledged to enable all parties to prioritize the local economy and community wellness.

CLEARWATER INFRASTRUCTURE
LIMITED PARTNERSHIP

Through a series of definitive agreements between Tamarack and 13 First Nation and Métis communities, collectively through a newly formed entity called Wâpiscânis Wâseskwan Nipiy Holding Limited Partnership ("WWN"), the WWN acquired an 85% non-operated working interest in the newly formed Clearwater Infrastructure Limited Partnership (the "CIP"). Under the terms of the definitive agreements, Tamarack has transferred a total of $222.8MM in Clearwater infrastructure assets to the CIP.

The CIP enhances the long-term relationship between Tamarack and the Indigenous Communities where Tamarack is developing its Clearwater resource and ensures long-term economic benefit for the Indigenous Communities participating in the partnership.

RONALD MCDONALD
HOUSE CHARITIES

Ronald McDonald House Charities Alberta is meaningful to Tamarack's entire workforce as it provides a home-away-from-home and other supports to Alberta families in the event of a child’s long term medical stay. This allows families to stay closer together, lifting the burden of travel faced by many families. For over 10 years, Tamarack has partnered with RMHC Alberta to support Albertan families through various programs and sponsorships.

Tamarack has been the presenting sponsor for RMHC Alberta’s Hustle for the House event for 3 consecutive years. This event annually brings many members of our workforce together as they embraced the opportunity to volunteer, donate, raise funds, or hustle for the house. The 2025 Hustle for the House raised over $220,000.

On May 22, 2025, Calgary’s Ronald McDonald House officially opened the doors of its expanded facility. Tamarack is honoured to stand with our industry peers who provided more families with a home-away-from-home by sponsoring the construction of the new Calgary Energy Wing. The Tamarack funded family suite is more than just a room – it is a warm and welcoming space where families can truly rest, recharge, and be together.

CALGARY HOUSING
STABILITY INVESTMENT

Tamarack recognizes the significant housing and cost of living challenges faced in Calgary, where our headquarters is located. According to the Calgary Homeless Foundation, 3,121 Calgarians experienced homelessness in 2024. To meaningfully address these challenges, Tamarack supports multiple organizations focused on homelessness, housing instability, and creating and enacting long-term solutions.

For 5 consecutive years, Tamarack has sponsored, volunteered, and participated in Hockey Helps the Homeless. Through this employee led initiative, Tamarack participates in the one-day tournament, raising funds for 4 local organizations – Habitat for Humanity Southern Alberta, iNN from the Cold, Trellis, and YWCA Calgary. In 2025, Tamarack was the third largest fundraiser, raising over $28,000 which contributed to the grand total of over $429,000. To learn more about Hockey Helps the Homeless, visit their website.
